Not sure... because most people I know, they go to BM for visiting St Anne Basilica, it is indeed worth. There's a Historic piece inside the church compound. Good that I walked around it. To be honest, didn't get a proper walkaround in BM, perhaps on next and longer stay. I will go around

It has been more than 20 years since I last visited Bukit Mertajam. It has changed so much for the better. The hawker food is definitely value for money compared to the island and I would say that I would definitely eat more of the famous food like char koay teow, prawn mee, chendol here. However, I must confess that hygiene in some of the hawker stalls needs to be improved. It is very easy to move around in the town.

Infinity pools are great!
Infinity pools are great! Low density of customer, you will have your peace of mind there. A lot of restaurant nearby, very convenient. However, do not expect too much of the reception staff, we didn't get our baby cot and razor until end of our stay. The security guard are nice to help you carry the luggage and stuff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Facilitated with washing machine, microwave and kitchenette. Great view from the room. Great for family stay.

Please don't take this hotel.
Please don't take this hotel. First room I took door broken, change again new room where the room totally not cleaned. the floor with so many dirty stain even the bedsheet they use back without changing. I have to request them to change. No towel due to laundry late supply where i check in at 2pm but towel arrived after 5pm. They provide broken chair and no Electric kettle in the 2nd room which i change even don't have glass, mineral water. its just a room with used bedsheet bed and the room facilities like air-cond and toilet exhaust too noisy. the worst nightare hotel i ever stayed in my life.
The counter staff who went to check the room cheated, when it was time to check out, he checked the room and changed the towels, saying he took them from the room I stayed in and said they were dirty. have to pay an additional RM31.80. have to be careful while staying at this Rate E-Red Hotel Bayu Mutiara, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
**Be careful, they are very clever and easy to deceive customers
Good location if you need to stay on the mainland. For vacation, I would stay on the island. Breakfast was excellent. Good food and clubs nearby. Great inexpensive hotel for business travel. some rooms don’t have windows so be sure to check the description when booking. I actually liked the windowless room. It was really quiet.
The location is convenient to get to the old town of Bukit Mertajam - the parking there is bad anyway. The restaurants and supermarkets are also very near by.
There is a public bus from Penang Sentral which stops a bit away from the property.
The room looks sparse but is very clean and the fittings show good quality.
I like that the hotel does have water dispenser machines (COWAY) to provide hot & cold water. Parking bay is plenty and location is good. Surrounded by F&B, convenient store (7/11) and petrol station with just walking distance. Also, I like that the hotel lighting along the corridor is very bright.
Location is great near the place i need to be. Staff also helpful when i complained about the bedsheet and smell. Parking lot also big enough beside the hotel. However i was hoping to get more value for money from so called budget room when the price is not really budget.
Cafes, food, clinics, shopping malls, easy to get grab. Very busy area. 5 minutes to Aeon, shops, food just around the corner. Everything is in walking distance.
Hotel cafe hot chocolate is really nice. Shower head very is huge and water pressure good.
Decent clean.
The hotel is just in the service area of NH2 expressway, giving convenience to the travellers driving from Northern Malaysia to the Southern part and Singapore. The facilities are great, especially the TV set. It provided me with different kinds of TV shows.
book for family room and hotel provided end room number 301. when we enter room so dusty floor and tables. Bathroom hole stuck with people hair which not clean-up. requested to room service to clean up. but than did not clean bathroom. very disappointed
The house is clean and big . The furniture is great . Both of the room was like a hotel room . Clean toilet . Nice view from the house . The pool has the best view😍 great service’s , easy to ask anything . we enjoyed !
It is a very basic hotel. For one night is fine. Clean, everything worked, but room is very small. Nasi Kandar shop next door for breakfast and 7/11 within walking distance.
